Do you provide tables and chairs?
Yes. The clubhouse includes approximately 70 folding chairs and 30 six-foot folding tables, available for use with your rental.
Can we use the kitchen?
The kitchen is available for limited use. Renters may use the refrigerator to store food and beverages, plug in crock pots or warming trays, and store perishable items during their event. Cooking and full kitchen use are not permitted.
Do you provide catering?
We do not provide catering services. However, many local caterers are familiar with our facility and are happy to accommodate events at the Hornets Clubhouse.
Do you provide event equipment?
We provide a large Bluetooth speaker and access to the clubhouse projector upon request at the time of booking. Microphones, podiums, AV equipment, and other event rentals are not supplied. For additional equipment, we recommend Long & McQuade.
Can I rent the rugby field?
No. The Nanaimo Hornets Rugby Club does not manage field bookings. To reserve field space, please contact the City of Nanaimo.
Are there any booking restrictions?
The clubhouse is not available for private rentals on Thursdays due to regular club activities. In addition, some future dates may not be available for advance booking until the rugby schedule has been finalized. If you're planning an event well in advance, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
